Radisson Blu Resort Temple Bay Mamallapuram ★★★★★

Room was of very good size and had all the amenities expected at a 5 star hotel like Radisson Temple Bay. The property has a large meandering pool and an infinity pool. The landscaping was also very green and soothing to the eyes. The breakfast spread was also quite elaborate and we had a good time with the band playing at the restaurant in the evening at dinner when we had an Ala Carte meal.

The high tea was a disappointment. It raised expectations and had only a couple of snacks - which also were not of good quality. No where in line with the Radisson brand or 5 star standard. There should be proper tea/ coffee cups and cutlery and a choice of a few veg and non-veg snacks of good quality.

Long wait for buggy at times

Best Location for Malibalipuram. The beach is right in front of the hotel and they have an infinity pool overlooking the beach. I must thank Rahul Lanka a manager at the hotel for being very understanding and accommodating to me. He fixed a problem i had when i arrived and made sure i had a fantastic stay at the hotel ! :-) The food is excellent. I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Breakfast for Europeans quite poor, freezing cold air conditioning in the restaurant. A bad smell in the bathroom. Rooms are old. Very expensive for what you get.

Nice Location, excellent property, Highlight of this Radisson Blu property is the pool which the largest I have ever seen.

The location and the view was excellent. The resort had a nice relaxing feeling to it during the evenings.

The staff behind the reception with name Chandrasekar was absolutely rude with me, my wife and my cousin. We did not know that there was a policy which prohibited my cousin from visiting us after 6pm. During check in, I clearly mentioned I'm from Belgium and that I have family and friends in Chennai since I was born here. I am in Chennai to relax and to reconnect with my family and friends. Later that evening when my cousin came to visit me Chandrasekar said it was not possible and that we should have asked them for their policies. This is absolutely ridiculous since the institution bares the responsibility of conveying any policy or changes in policy. He was so rude and played the blame game with us, stating we should have asked them for all their policies during check in. A policy can change overnight, it is the responsibility of the establishment to communicate this to the customers, not the other way around. Fortunately the manager was around and gave my cousin 60mins grace period to visit us inside the property. Even here on the 58th minute they called us and sent a buggy to pick my cousin up. My cousin booked a room with them just so Chandrasekar would be a little more friendly and bit flexible, which was still not the case as he kept calling and asking when he can send the buggy. Was a very bad first experience with the establishment. Unfortunately how one staff can ruin your first impression.

1. Location - Beautifully located. Access to beach and cleanliness was good 2. Staff - Courteous staff 3. Buffet spread - quite a huge spread and varied options for Veg/Non-veg likewise.

1. Time taken to complete Check-in process. Understaffed at front desk to handle large crowds 2. Extra Bed - Was charged for extra cot, but in the end figured that it was a sofa cum bed, i had to just pull out the sofa for the bed and didn't understand why I was charged for that. Bedding was done by myself on top of this.
